Sonia is an NHS Physiotherapist who has dedicated her working life to treating the local patients. After leaving Cadbury College she worked at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Northfield where she is now a foundation trust member. As an NHS key worker Sonia knows too well the devastating impact Conservative cuts has had on our public services and is standing to make a difference to her community.
She was born & bred in Birmingham into a family who owned a small shop. So she understands the importance of shopping local and wants to make Kings Norton a better place to live, work and shop. She also understands the struggles small businesses can go through, so she will work with Kings Norton’s independents to help them thrive.
Sonia believes everyone should have access to food, feel safe and have good quality housing. That’s why her priorities for Kings Norton South are safer, cleaner and healthier.
Kings Norton South is like the area Sonia grew up in so she understands residents concerns about rising crime and antisocial behaviour such as car thefts and drug use. It’s why she committed to making Kings Norton a better place to live whether its by cleaning up the area by attending local litter picks or going on walkabouts with the local police.
